In the Name of God
A Few Words Out Loud
In several places I have seen my humble self mentioned as a candidate for the presidency, and with the backing of students, no less.
I have no intention of running for president, and I believe that before anything else the question of the current Constitution must be settled. The Office for Consolidating Unity (Daftar-e Tahkim-e Vahdat, Iran's main student organization) has also stated clearly in a public announcement that it supports no candidate.
I also have a few well-meaning words for anyone who wants to run for president: the experience of the past eight years has shown that, within the framework of the current Constitution, reform in any direction is inconceivable.
Therefore, to avoid wasting the time of the nation and the country, whoever seeks the people's vote should have only one program and promise the people only one thing: holding a referendum to change the current Constitution and draft a new one. After that, they should bow respectfully and take their leave.
Peace be upon you
